The 2013 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo was a major success with over 100 exhibitors and 9,000 attendees flooding the hall at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre over the weekend of October 12-13 - making it the biggest Expo to date.
With more entertainment, more exhibitors and more showcases than ever before, the steady crowd lapped up every minute of the action. The inaugural Again Faster Arena, featuring a full weekend of CrossFit, Strongman, Powerlifting, and Weightlifting demonstrations and competitions by some of Australia's best in the industry who amused crowds for hours on end with up to 300 people watching at any one time.
The Australian Armwrestling Federation again held their Queensland championships on the Sunday and experienced increased numbers for the year.
The Main Stage held captivated audiences over the two days with demonstrations from Steve 'Commando Steve' Willis on the Saturday, who took on Australia's Greatest Strength Athlete Derek Boyer in an 85 kilo medicine ball lift challenge, only to tie with an impressive 13 lifts each in 60 seconds. The Main Stage also played host to a variety of fitness and health sessions including David Gillespie, author of Sweet Poison; Susie Burrell and her nutrition seminar; the Dana Carmont Runway Parade; and the Brisbane Fitness Model Search which took place from 2.30pm on both days.
The 2014 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo will be held over the weekend of 6th -7th September 2014, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Expo Team is getting ready to launch the 2014 Brisbane Fitness and Health Expo to the general public and new exhibitors come January 2014.
